Wow! My vertigo would never have been able to take this in real time. And, although my seriously overreaching sense of caution tells me not to suggest this ……… if you fellas continue this urban spelunking, the pictures and commentary might make a very interesting book.

Sweet! I noticed this thing on the boat back in October but I didn’t have time to go check it out. Way to go. It’s disturbingly easy to get on the roof of pretty much anything in Thailand – there’s a seventeen storey hotel in Chiang Mai with an abandoned top floor that made for a good Loy Krathong spot. I think the only thing in this city without roof access is my apartment building.

This is awesome! That’s cool that you guys were brave enough to break into an abandoned building, I think the heights would’ve eventually forced me back down. The pictures are amazing, great post!

Two suggestions? Please be careful with abandoned buildings and think about how Thai officials may react when someone stumbles upon your blog.

one of the coolest things I’ve read finanly someone who dared to venture to the top of this monolith. Congrats. I’ve been eyeing this building for ages and thought about it but have nerve pursuit it. But you guys did it, your account of this adventure is great and so are your pictures. Which ghost building is next on your list? There’s another pretty tall one by the river further north somewhere along Jarunsanitwong (I think Bang Plad district) Then there is a whole cluster of interesting ghost buildings the former SV City Project at Rama III. I think I’ll go and check it out during the as some point in April cause at the moment I’m pretty tight up with lots of things.
